      Jasmine (taxonomic name Jasminum / ˈ j æ s m ɪ n əm / YASS-min-əm) is a genus of shrubs and vines in the olive family ().It contains around species native to tropical and warm temperate regions of Eurasia and es are widely cultivated for the characteristic fragrance of their flowers.
